ConnectWise Screenconnect Critical Vulnerabilities

There is a very dangerous security flaw recently discovered that has the potential to take down an entire network, and we’re alerting you because action is required. This security flaw is the result of two vulnerabilities that allow attackers to compromise on-premises ConnectWise ScreenConnect servers and pivot to client computers for further compromise, and they are extremely easy for hackers to exploit.

Given the severity of these vulnerabilities, we see the potential for significant issues on networks that do not address it.

NOTE: This alert still applies to your network even if you do not have Connectwise Screenconnect, because the vendors and partners you work with might. Attacks that target the supply chain such as these can be incredibly difficult to identify. ConnectWise Screenconnect is a popular tool, which is why this needs to be addressed.
